- Cleaning: before fitting, clean the inside of the rim with a degreaser to remove any dirt or old adhesive residue.
- Valve alignment: position the rim tape opening exactly opposite the valve hole in the rim.
- Fitting: hold the opening in place with a screwdriver or with the valve itself, then gradually stretch the Waygom band all the way around the rim.
- Centring: once in place, slide the band sideways to make sure it covers all the spoke heads evenly.
- Checking: make sure there are no creases before inserting the inner tube and fitting the tyre.
